Wow, it's been forever since my last post..apologies. My life is just not that interesting -___-
Anyway, Kinton Ramen (from the makers of Guu) opened up last month and so ever since then I really wanted to go. Well, I finally went yesterday and I knew coming to this place I would be expected to wait a while. We ended up waiting around 40 minutes.
I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant ><, but here's the menu. Small selection - I got the Cheese ramen (yumz)
You can see the place is pretty narrow. We sat at a long table near the window which is also shared by others. If I ever go next time, I'd like to sit by the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs cook your noodles :).
Top left is what I had - Cheese ramen, and yes that is a crap load of swiss cheese you see next to the pork belly. Pork belly was tender so I like :). The broth was a little salty imo, but still okay.
Top right is the shoyu ramen with pork shoulder. My friend added extra seaweed to hers (note: it cost $1 more for the seaweed)
Bottom - Karaage spicy fried chicken, this wasn't bad :). The fried chicken is mild spicy so perfect for those who can't really eat spicy food.
Our bill was put in a little bamboo basket - so cute!
Total was a little bit under $30 with tax excluding tip.
Would I come back again? Yes, I'm not a picky eater and I don't mind waiting under an hour. Plus I want to sit by the open kitchen to watch where all the actions happen :). Hopefully by then, they'll have their liquor license so I can have a drink (or two).
